Musical Theatre 1: Rising Stars
Does your child sing along with TV commercials and radio jingles? Do they drag out all the musical instruments in the house? Have they ever tap danced in the grocery store? Rising Stars is a class for the budding musical theatre performer in your family. Kids learn basic music theory skills, how to pick up dance steps and play different characters in this fun class.
Ages 8-11

Musical Theatre 2: Aspiring Artists
If your tween/teen has run up your iTunes account on show music or they beg for a trip to NYC during spring break, perhaps Aspiring Artists is the class your kid needs on Saturday mornings. This course is tailored to the young person who has a serious interest in the study and performance of musical theatre or may be considering a career in the arts.
Ages 11-17

9:00-11:30 AM - 2 hour 30 minutes

Summer Conservatory (Moonlight, Jr.)
This two-week summer course is aimed at students that want to know the ins and outs of putting on a show. Mornings are spent in rehearsal and afternoons are filled with building sets, props and costumes. This high energy, super silly theatre extravaganza ends with a two-show day and a party. Show title will be released in January 2012.

Dates: July 16 – July 28
Tuition: $350 (1/2 day), $700 (full day)
Private Lessons for All Ages
Do you have an audition coming up? Are you trying to get into graduate school? Do you need a new monologue? MoonSchool provides private lessons in multiple disciplines. We currently offer coaching in voice, piano, acting, dance and audition prep. Contact Education Director, Dyan McBride at dmcbride@42ndstmoon.org for an appointment.

Master Classes
Broadway stars! TV personalities! Fabulous directors! Increase your knowledge, skills and connections with a Master Class. Past mentors have included NYC’s powerhouse performer and multiple MAC award winner, Klea Blackhurst and Glee star and Moon alumnus, Darren Criss. Top teachers are being booked, so please check back for future classes!
Intensives
These short sessions in monologue prep, scene study, musical theatre history and dance are aimed at the student that needs a jolt of inspiration, but is pressed for time. Intensives run three to four days and are goal-oriented and specific. Please check back for future intensives.
