Course 1: MoonLight KIDS! Summer Conservatory

This two-week summer course is aimed at students that want to know the ins and outs of putting on a show. Mornings are spent in rehearsal and afternoons are filled with building sets, props and costumes. Students will learn all aspects of theatre production, learning how to sing, dance, and act, and through participating in fun, age-appropriate art projects to create the design elements of the production. Students will perform in the kids edition of the charming Tony-nominated Broadway show A Year With Frog and Toad.  This sweet and winsome theatre fable ends with two performances on the final Saturday and a party (of course!).

Ages:  7–12
Dates: July 1-13, Monday-Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, plus a two-performance Saturday on July 13, 2013
(Performance Saturdays begin at 1:00 pm for the students with performances at 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm.)

Course 2: MoonLight JR! Summer Conservatory

A more advanced two-week summer program for middle and high-school students, MoonLight JR! will expose enrollees to every facet of a theatrical musical production. Here too, mornings are spent in rehearsal and afternoons are filled with building sets, props and costumes, but students will be much more engaged technically. Music theory and song interpretation, as well as motivated acting technique, and more complex dance choreography will all be put to use as the students rehearse and produce Schoolhouse Rock, Jr., the fun, nostalgic, and still hip show based on the educational cartoon shorts popular in the 1970s. This high-energy, rock and pop theatre extravaganza ends with two performances on the final Saturday and the requisite party!

Special Discount for Families!

If you have more than one child interested in attending either MoonLight Conservatory this summer, any additional siblings can attend for a discounted rate of $500 each!

Half-Day Attendance Also Available!

Children can attend the performance-oriented morning sessions (from 9:00 am to noon) of each Conservatory for a rate of $350.
