Biographies

CALEB ALEXANDER (Urchin) is thrilled to be making his debut with 42nd Street Moon in The Roar of the Greasepaint - the Smell of the Crowd.  He is a third grader at Marin’s Ring Mountain Day School and has been performing around the Bay Area for the last four years.  His recent credits include the San Francisco Opera’s Norma plus regional roles in The Music Man, The Sound of Music, and Gypsy.  Caleb studies performing arts with A.C.T. Young Conservatory, Marin Ballet, Stepology Tap, and a private voice and piano coach. 
 

JEFF BRYANT (Urchin) is pleased to be making his debut at 42nd Street Moon. An actor since the age of five, his most recent credits include Billy in youngbilly at Bus Barn Stage Company, and a spirit and reaper in The Tempest at California Shakespeare Theatre.  Jeff is close to finishing up his AA, and is trying to chase down scholarships to get his BA.  In addition to his singing and acting, he is also a songwriter, musician (harmonica and guitar), poet, playwright, and stage painter.
 

BRANDY COLLAZO (The Girl/Urchin/Dance Captain) most recently portrayed Kay in 42nd Street Moon’s production of Red Hot and Blue!  This is Brandy’s fifth Moon show and she is very glad to be here again!  Other credits include:  West Side Story (Anybodys), The Boyfriend (Dulcie u/s Polly), and Fiddler on the Roof (Hodel).  She has danced in the ensembles of My Fair Lady, Evita, The Music Man, Pippin, and Joseph…Dreamcoat (twice!).  Also a talented voice-over artist, Ms. Collazo is featured in several popular video games.  “Thanks to Mom, Morgan, Paige, and Phil!”
 

MOLLY ANNE COOGAN (Urchin) is a recent graduate of Bates College, but is happy to be back home in the Bay Area.  She spent a semester of her junior year studying acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London and completed a year-long undergraduate honors acting thesis on Anton Chekhov’s The Three Sisters.  Favorite past roles include Kate in Kiss Me Kate, Sooze in Suburbia, Jessica in This Is Our Youth, and Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors.  Much love to the fam!
 

ANNIE DONAHEY (The Kid) is excited to be back for her second production with 42nd Street Moon, where she previously played Honeylou in Finian’s Rainbow.  She recently appeared in Saratoga Drama Group’s Oklahoma!, and has also performed for SDG as an orphan and understudy to Annie in Annie.  She appeared as Stuart Little in Stuart Little and as Molly in Annie for Peninsula Youth Theater.  Other PYT credits include Wizard of Oz, Seussical the Musical, TheSound of Music, and The Hobbit.
 

K.S. HADDOCK (The Bully) is making his debut at 42nd Street Moon, which also marks his third show with Director Cindy Goldfield.  Besides performing in dramatic and musical theater all over the Bay Area for the last 15 years, K.S. has published a novel, wrote and directed an indie film, and wrote, directed and performed a rock opera, Thanatics, which debuted last June at San Francisco’s Exit Theatre.  He also plays a mean guitar and has a cute little Himalayan cat named Joplin.
 

CRAIG JESSUP (Sir) is making his fourth appearance in a 42nd Street Moon show, the previous ones being Miss Liberty, The Cabaret Girl and Finian’s Rainbow.  He has worked with many theater companies including American Conservatory Theater, Magic Theatre, Z Space, SF Fringe, Art Street Theatre, and eight shows with the Pacific Alliance Stage Co.  For 20 years Mr. Jessup has played cabarets, theaters, and concert halls throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe with Ruth Hastings and Barry Lloyd.  He may be best known for his one-man show, Craig Jessup Sings Noel Coward, which enjoyed a three-month sold out run at the Mark Hopkins Hotel on Nob Hill.  The show is recorded on CD and available in the lobby.
 

KRISTOPHER McDOWELL (Cocky) has performed three highly-acclaimed solo nightclub acts in Chicago, New York City, and London’s West End.  Off-Broadway: Everybody’s Gettin’ Into the Act (Young Sophisticate), Torch Song Trilogy (Alan), and the title role in The Prodigal Son.  Regional:  Forever Plaid (Francis), 42nd Street (Billy Lawlor), A Chorus Line (Mark), and Big River (Huck Finn).  McDowell attended New York’s American Musical & Dramatic Academy and Fordham University (Lincoln Center).  In 2001, Kristopher was nominated for a MAC Award (Outstanding Male Debut) for his show Faces of Love, which produced a CD of the same name.  Visit him at www.kristophermcdowell.com.
 

IMANI JADE POWERS (Urchin) has been acting, singing, and dancing since she was eight with American Conservatory Theater, Vector Conservatory, Raz Kennedy, Denise Wharmby, Nina Wise, and Rachel Adler.  She has appeared in the Idyllwild Arts Summer Program's production of Picnic at Hanging Rock as Sara, the Academy Deturk production of Quilters, and Marilyn Izdebski’s productions of Gypsy, Once Upon a Mattress, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.  She is also studying the Method and Lee Strasberg's technique with Amy Werba as well as the Trigger method with Robert Weinapple of Seydways Studios.
 

BRIAN YATES SHARBER (The Black Man) is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association and Theatre Bay Area.  42nd Street Moon credits:  Minnie’s Boys, Hooray For What!, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Finian’s Rainbow, and Funny Face.  Off- Broadway:  Up Jumped Springtime (Lincoln Center/H.E.R.E.).  Local favorites include (but certainly aren’t limited to):  Memphis, Ragtime, Raisin (TheatreWorks); The Wiz, Dreamgirls (Willows Theatre), and Comedy of Errors (Aurora Theatre).  Other Bay Area credits include works with the Marin Theatre Company, Afro Solo Festival, and Theatre Rhinoceros - where it all began.

CINDY GOLDFIELD (Director/Choreographer/Costumes) is a two-time recipient of the Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle and the Dean Goodman Choice Awards.  Miss Goldfield is pleased to be back at 42nd Street Moon, where past roles include Dot in Sweet Adeline and Pat in both incarnations of Peggy Ann, as well as directing/choreography credits for As Thousands Cheer, Once in a Blue Moon, Peggy Ann, Finian’s Rainbow, and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.  With extensive regional acting credits (American Conservatory Theater, TheatreWorks, Willows Theatre, Playhouse West, Marin Theatre Company, Broadway By the Bay, Center REP,) Miss Goldfield also enjoys the cabaret collaboration of Goldfield and Koldewyn with the inimitable Scrumbly Koldewyn.

DAVE DOBRUSKY (Music Director) is enjoying his ninth year at 42nd Street Moon where favorite productions include Red Hot and Blue!, Minnie’s Boys, Can-Can, The Cabaret Girl, Fifty Million Frenchmen, Oh, Captain!, Finian’s Rainbow, Paint Your Wagon, Peggy Ann, By Jupiter, Leave It to Me (recorded), …It’s Superman!, Dear World, Out of This World, Babes in Arms, Call Me Madam, Girl Crazy, Jubilee, and Louisiana Purchase.  Other Bay Area credits include The Fantasticks (Shakespeare at Stinson); The Boyfriend, Whispers on the Wind (Playhouse West); Passion, Chess (New Conservatory Theatre); Violet, Side Show (TheatreWorks); and youth productions of Titanic and Les Miserables (Musical Theatre Works).

SHAWN FERREYRA (Stage Manager) is pleased to be back at 42nd Street Moon.  He recently stage managed Cole Porter’s Red Hot and Blue! and The Boys From Syracuse.  As Artistic Director of El Gato Del Diablo Theatre Company, he wrote and directed The Rise and Fall of the Monkey King at the Exit Stage Left, and is currently producing El Gato's next production, scheduled for next summer.

ELLEN BROOKS (Lighting Director) has designed 18 productions for 42nd Street Moon – including Red Hot and Blue!,Once Upon a Mattress, Paint Your Wagon, Can-Can  and the 2003-2005 Galas atthe Herbst Theatre.  She is a frequent designer for the internationally acclaimed Lamplighters at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (upcoming: The Pirates ofPenzance and Jerome Kern's Show Boat).  This summer she designed Two Gentlemen of Verona, Knight of the Burning Pestle, and Romeo and Juliet for the Marin Shakespeare Company at Forest Meadows and El Barberillo de Lavapies, for the Jarvis Conservatory in Napa.
