42nd Street Moon proudly presents a Master Class with New York’s powerhouse singer KLEA BLACKHURST
Stage, screen, and cabaret star Klea Blackhurst is best known for her acclaimed tribute to Ethel Merman, Everything the Traffic Will Allow, that has been charming audiences and critics alike nationwide since its New York debut in 2001.
She also starred in 42nd Street Moon's hit of the 2009/10 season Call Me Madam. She recently reprised her role of Ambassador Sally Adams for a special concert at the Luxembourg Embassy for both the Ambassadors of Luxembourg and Liechtenstein.
Blackhurst is a brilliant interpreter of lyrics, has a voice like a trumpet, is endowed with the gift of musicianship, and has a passion for musical theatre history. Klea’s wealth of experience, coupled with her energy and humor, promise to provide a Master Class that is beyond compare.
This presentation will feature performances by ten MoonSchool students & Moonie Actors who will work one-on-one with Ms. Blackhurst during the session.
All attendees will warm up with Klea, take notes during her work with the singers, be able to ask questions throughout the class regarding techniques used, and participate in the Q&A session.
