Discussion Sundays
Get all your burning questions answered about the show you've just seen, during our post-performance discussions with the audience, cast, and crew. Hosted by Artistic Director Greg MacKellan, who explores the history of the original production as well as our current incarnation! Lear more about the composers, lyricists, book writers, as well as the backgrounds of your favorite Moonie cast members. Discussion Sundays happen on the first and second Sunday of each show in our regular season offering.
Family Matinees
The best deal in town for kids and parents alike. Young people under 18 can see the show for just $8! Includes a family activity guide, a pre-show discussion, an intermission contest (with prizes!), and post-show visit with the actors for autographs and pictures. A great way to introduce the next generation to musical theatre. This is also a great idea for a kids birthday party.
42nd Street Moon's original reason for creating the Family Matinee was to make musical theatre affordable and accessible for young people along with their parents and to provide families the opportunity to experience classic Broadway. Relevant, fun activities and fascinating discussion guides enable families to rediscover how theatre has served an important function in our nation’s cultural landscape, and long been a way for families to come together.
Family Matinee dates: Oct. 15, Nov. 12, Dec. 10, Apr. 14, May 12.
Dinner and a Show
The hit of last season! The second Thursday of each production, you can join Artistic Director Greg MacKellan for a sit-down dinner at L'Olivier Restaurant. Enjoy great food, a glass of wine, and Greg, who will share secrets, stories, and the scoop on the evening's performance. This year single ticket buyers are welcome to join in the fun. The cost is $40 per person/per show ($35 if you come to all 5 dinners). This cost is in addition to your ticket purchase.
Dinner and a Show dates: Oct. 13, Nov. 10, Dec. 8, Apr. 12, May 10.
