As Stephen Sondheim might say,

"Good times and bum times, we've seen them all and my dear, WE'RE STILL HERE!"

Sure enough, it's been a challenging year for non-profit theatres, especially here in the Bay Area.  Not to mention, this challenging economy has influenced programming and artistic decisions.   Gifts from major funders from corporate sponsors and foundations to individual donors have dropped to a fraction of what it once was.  That is why we need your help.

That's the bad news.  What about the good?  We have plenty!  Call Me Madam opened to a rapturous response from our audiences. The legendary Donna McKechnie is thrilled to work with us this January as the host and headliner of Nice Work if You Can Get It, our Ira Gershwin Salon.  Managing Director Lauren Hewitt and I attended the National Alliance of Music Theatre's Fall Conference and the Festival of New Musicals in New York City, and we have some exciting news coming up that we'll tell you about in the next several weeks

Our 18th season will be exhilarating - the theme is, LOVERS, LIARS, AND CLOWNS! which gives you a hint of what's in store.  Expect to hear the songs of Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim, Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart, Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein, Ira Gershwin, Harold Arlen, Vernon Duke, and Yip Harburg!

Surviving 18 years - growing, changing, and expanding our vision for the company has been rewarding.  But, we can't continue the magic without you!  It is with sincere urgency that we ask you to consider making a gift to San Francisco's own premier musical theatre company and help keep 42nd Street Moon glowing for another dazzling season.

Don't forget, a gift certificate to 42nd Street Moon would make a great gift, or stocking stuffer as well!

You can click here to make a donation, or call the office to make a pledge, donation or buy a gift certificate, (415) 255-8207. See you at the theatre!
