CAROLINE ALTMAN (Penelope) says her favorite Moon roles include: Chloe (Out of This World), Colette (Leave It To Me), Marina (Louisiana Purchase), Giovanna (Do I…Waltz), plus title roles in Fanny and Nymph Errant. Other local credits: California Shakespeare, Oakland Opera Theatre, Playhouse West, Woodminster, Wicked Stage. Recent New York credits: Man in the Iron Mask (Anne), The Man in the Black Suit (studio recording). Ms. Altman has received both a Shellie and a Bay Area Theatre Critics’ Circle Award for principal performance and has written four critically acclaimed musicals for young audiences. |

MIKE FIGUEIRA (Ajax) is pleased to be making his eighth appearance in a 42nd Street Moon production. Previous Moon shows include Paint Your Wagon, The Cabaret Girl, and The Boys From Syracuse. Mike can also be heard on our CD, The First Rose of Summer. When not building or buying set pieces, or painting the stage as Production Manager, he can be found painting walls in his apartment. DOUGLAS B. GIORGIS (Achilles) is happy to return to 42nd Street Moon for his fourth production where he was last seen as “Zeppo” Marx in Minnie’s Boys. He recently completed a co-production of Pride & Prejudice, adapted and directed by Jon Jory, which was performed at San Jose Rep., Arizona Theatre Co. and Alliance Theatre Co. in Georgia. You can hear his voice as Bobby Zilch on the X-box/PS2 videogame Psychonauts. Douglas holds a degree in theatre from St. Mary's College and a certificate in acting from the American Conservatory Theater. |

JERRY VAN CARLOS GORE (Paris), a.k.a. joti, just completed a U.S. Tour promoting his debut album, I Get So Caught Up. RUDY GUERRERO (Menelaus/Scylla) previously appeared in 42nd Street Moon's productions of Can-Can and Once Upon a Mattress. Other notable, award-winning Bay Area credits include Tartuffe at the American Conservatory Theater, Don Juan and The Merry Wives of Windsor at Marin Shakespeare Company (Goodman Choice Awards), and Stories by Tobias Wolff at Word for Word (Bay Area Critics Circle Award). Television credits include Secrets (Emmy Award). Rudy has a BFA in Musical Theater from the Boston Conservatory and a MFA in Acting from the American Conservatory Theater. |

NINA JOSEPHS (Circe) is very excited to be back at 42nd Street Moon following her debut last fall in the title role in Miss Liberty. Other favorite roles: Anna Heldin Tintypes, Yum-Yumin Mikado and Lady Larkin in Once Upon a Mattress (Dean Goodman Award). A graduate of A.C.T.’s Summer Training Congress and Bay Area Opera Theatre Institute, she is studying for her Bachelor’s of Music at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Trained in classical ballet, Nina has danced in numerous concert and theater productions. |

ALEXANDRA KAPRIELIAN (Helen) is a 42nd Street Moon regular, having appeared in Paint Your Wagon, Oh Captain!, Fifty Million Frenchmen, The Cabaret Girl, Can-Can and The Boys From Syracuse. She also choreographed Hooray For What! and recently co-starred in I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change in Palo Alto. She performed with Rebecca Luker for Moon’s Jerome Kern Gala, participated in our Cole Porter Gala, and was seen in Jason Graae’s cabaret act as a back-up singer. When not performing, choreographing school shows, or teaching dance, she also does voiceovers including “Cassi: Earth Girl on Campus” for Shockwave.com. |

RUSS LORENSON (Doc) returns for his fourth show with Moon (Finian’s Rainbow, Minnie’s Boys, Red Hot and Blue!). In San Diego, he has appeared with the Starlight Musical Theatre (The Wizard of Oz, Phantom), Lyric Opera San Diego (Rose Marie, The Desert Song), Diversionary Theatre (Ten Percent Revue, C’est La Guerre), and National Theatre for Children. 2005 saw the debut of Russ’ cabaret show, A Little Travelin’ Music. GREG LUCAS (Nestor) was last seen on the Eureka Theatre stage as the crooning Lamplighter in 42nd Street Moon’s production of Miss Liberty. Mr. Lucas holds an Associate Acting degree from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Past roles include Joey (Zombie Prom) with Palo Alto Players; Rapunzel's Prince (Into the Woods) with Ohlone Summerfest; Joseph (Joseph…Dreamcoat), Roger (Grease), Tommy Keeler (Annie Get Your Gun), and Jack (Into the Woods) with Stage 1. After "Apple," Greg will be playing Edward Rutledge in 1776 at the Willows Theatre in Concord. |

KRISTOPHER McDOWELL (Hector/Charybdis) received a Dean Goodman Choice Award for his recent performance as Cocky in The Roar of the Greasepaint – The Smell of the Crowd. A MAC nominated and acclaimed cabaret artist, Kristopher has a solo CD and four nightclub acts that have played major U.S. cities and on London’s West End. Off-Broadway: Everybody’s Gettin’ Into the Act (Young Sophisticate) and Torch Song Trilogy (Alan). National touring credits include various Gilbert and Sullivan classics. KATHLEEN MULREADY (Figurehead) recently completed her master's degree in voice at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she sang the roles of La Fee in Cendrillon, the Dew Fairy in Hansel and Gretel and originated the role of Becky LaRue in the premiere of The Passion of Rita St. James. Ms. Mulready has also been seen in Der Schauspieldirektor, The Wizard of Oz, Into the Woods, Zombie Prom, Trouble in Tahiti, Jesus Christ Superstar and as a soloist with the Hartford Symphony Chamber Orchestra. |

NICK NAKASHIMA (Diomede) is making his debut with 42nd Street Moon, and is delighted to be a part of this company. Nick was last seen in Woodminster's production of Jesus Christ Superstar in the role of Simon. CARLY OZARD (Mother Hare) is overjoyed to return to Moon after previously appearing in two other successful shows -- The Cabaret Girl (Miss Macbeth) and Miss Liberty (Sally). She was featured in The Sound of Music and West Side Story at Broadway By the Bay. She also played with Foothill Music Theatre (Ragtime) and The Lamplighters (The Pirates of Penzance). Ms. Ozard was just featured opposite Barry Lloyd in Follies as Sally Durant Plummer. Lastly, she spends her spare time putting together concerts for charities and studies voice with Baker Peeples. DARLENE POPOVIC (Lovey Mars/Siren) is pleased to be back for her fourth 42nd Street Moon production. Previous shows were Out of This World, Leave It To Me! and Minnie Marx in Minnie's Boys. She has brightened innumerable Bay Area musical theater productions at TheatreWorks, Broadway By the Bay, and one-woman cabaret shows. Dar has studied at the American Conservatory Theater, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and Opera Theatre Arts and Classical Voice at Indiana University. She has received numerous awards – Cabaret Golds, Critics Circles, and Dean Goodman Choice. Her critically acclaimed CD, Love & Laughter, is on sale in the lobby! |

JOSH POWELL (Ulysses) is thrilled to return, having previously appeared in Paint Your Wagon, Too Many Girls, and Peggy Ann! Now performing out of New York, Josh recently appeared as Marcello (La Boheme), Ben (The Telephone, International Tour), The Mikado, and Danilo (The Merry Widow). Favorite credits include Gaston (Beauty and the Beast, Regional Theatre Premiere), Billy Bigelow (Carousel), and multiple productions as the Phantom. STEPHANIE RHOADS (Miss Minerva/Scientist) claims Ninotchka (Silk Stockings), Venus (One Touch of…), Elvira (High Spirits), Helen (Out of This World), Thea (Fiorello), and most recently, Adriana (The Boys From Syracuse) as her favorite Moon roles to-date. A recipient of the Dean Goodman Choice Award for her performances in Hello, Dolly! (Mountain Play) and Out of This World (42nd Street Moon), Ms. Rhoads has also received Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Awards for her musical revue work. She has toured and appeared with many regional companies including American Musical Theatre of San Jose, TheatreWorks, Broadway By the Bay, Theatre Phoenix Arizona, Beach Blanket Babylon, Woodminster Musicals, and Larkspur Café Theatre. Ms. Rhoads is Co-Founding Artistic Director of 42nd Street Moon along with Greg MacKellan. |

RICARDO RUST (Patroclus), a native to South Africa, is ecstatic to make his debut with 42nd Street Moon in The Golden Apple. He holds a BFA in Music Theater and a Certificate in Dance with an emphasis in Classical Ballet. Credits include: Off-Broadway: Clubworld (original cast), Bruce Springsteen’s World Hunger Benefit Concert; Regional: The Drawer Boy, Assassins, Blithe Spirit, Master Harold and the Boys, Mystery of Edwin Drood, Poor Murderer, She Loves Me and Sweeney Todd. Credits also include house choreographer for STEPS in Miami, Florida. |

LIBBY TRULL (Mrs. Juniper/Calypso) has been a Bay Area resident for the last several years and before that, she acted professionally in the Southeast. Since moving to California she has been seen as Queen Aggravain in Once Upon a Mattress with the Alterena Playhouse, Betty in Beggar's Holiday with Marin Theatre Co., Lucy in The Women with Center Repertory Company, and has also traveled throughout Northern California with the children's theater company, Theater of All Possibilities. Libby is excited to be in her first production with 42nd Street Moon. |

GREG MacKELLAN (Director) co-founded 42nd Street Moon in 1993, which turned a short visit to San Francisco into an extended stay. His directing credits for the company have included such well-received shows as Minnie’s Boys, Paint Your Wagon, Roberta, Do I Hear a Waltz?, I Married an Angel, and a trio of Cole Porter delights, Nymph Errant, Silk Stockings, and Jubilee. He also guided the recent NEA-sponsored restoration of Arlen and Harburg’s Hooray for What, as well as the June 2004 Kern Gala with Rebecca Luker and 2003’s I Remember It Well with Leslie Caron. Greg’s work on Cole Porter’s Out of This World won him a Goodman Award for direction and a BATCC nomination for his revised script, which was also produced to great acclaim from the London critics at the Chichester Festival in 2004. In addition to the Moon cast albums of Leave It to Me! and Something for the Boys, Greg has produced seven CDs of rare theatre music with performers like Andrea Marcovicci, Patricia Morison, Judy Kaye, Paige O’Hara, Douglas Sills, Ann Morrison, and Jason Graae. DAVE DOBRUSKY (Music Director) began his musical theater career as a child actor in his native Albuquerque. After finding his talents better suited to playing piano, he attended Oberlin Conservatory of Music where he directed six Gilbert and Sullivan operas. The Golden Apple marks his 32nd production at 42nd Street Moon and also includes The Roar of the Greasepaint..., Red Hot and Blue!, Minnie’s Boys, Can-Can, Finian’s Rainbow, Paint Your Wagon, By Jupiter, Leave It to Me (recorded), Dear World, Out of This World, Jubilee, and Louisiana Purchase. Other Bay Area credits include The Fantasticks (Shakespeare at Stinson); Passion, Chess (New Conservatory Theatre); Violet and Side Show (TheatreWorks). JAYNE ZABAN (Choreographer) started her career with the Atlanta Ballet Company. As Co-owner and Director of Ballet at Dance Arts Center in San Mateo, Jayne has instructed many students who now have professional careers in theater and dance. This is her ninth season with 42nd Street Moon. Jayne has choreographed for many regional and community theaters throughout the Bay Area including productions with Diablo Light Opera, Contra Costa Musical Theatre, Lamplighters, and Hillbarn. Awards and nominations: Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle, Garland, Dean Goodman, and Shellie. LOUISE JARMILOWICZ (Costumes) has been costuming around San Francisco for many years. Previous groups with whom she has worked, designing and constructing costumes, include Children's Fairyland, Stage Door Conservatory, Lamplighters Music Theatre, the Randall Museum, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, the Cacophony Society, Burning Man and other various artists too numerous to mention.
