The Boys from Syracuse (1938)
![]()
42ND Street Moon, San Francisco’s only theatre company dedicated to presenting rarely performed musicals, concludes its 2004 season with the first musical ever adapted from Shakespeare, THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE. Two sets of identical twins (with, handily enough, identical names) are at the center of a wild tale of mistaken identities, perplexed wives, disgruntled courtesans, and outraged constables. True love eventually prevails in this madcap musical farce.
