Very severe in her look and manner, but she unbends under the spell of Paris. Alto (Russian accent). Steven Canfield: 30s - 40s. American movie agent. Smooth dealer, sense of humor. Baritone. Brankov: 30s - 50s, Russian commissar (Russian accent). Ivanov: 30s - 50s, Russian commissar (Russian accent). Commissar Markovitch: 40s - 50s (Russian accent). Peter Ilyitch Boroff: 20s - early 30s, Russian composer (Russian accent). Pierre Bouchard: 40s - French waiter who pretends to be Boroff's father (French accent). 42nd Street Moon is a professional theatre company, contracted under Tier Two of the Bay Area Theatre Agreement of Actors Equity Association. Twenty-five percent or more of the actors in our season are Equity actors. In most cases, musical theatre experience is essential. Auditions are typically held each spring and fall by invitation only; we rarely, if ever, hold open auditions.
Requests for headshots and resumes will be posted periodically in Theatre Bay Area Magazine and listed on the Actor's Equity Hotline. You may send us your current materials at anytime and update them as often as you like.
After we receive your materials our Artistic Directors will review them. If you appear appropriate for a role in our season, you will be contacted to set up an appointment for an audition.
We prefer submittal by hardcopy mail, however we will consider materials sent via email. Your headshot should be professional and "standard" in appearance, black and white, and measuring 8.5 x 11 inches. Please attach a one-page resume to the back of the headshot.
